Cast Interview with Nana Mizuki

Merry Christmas! We're back with another interview. Nana Mizuki has long been a legend in the anime and music community, so it's no surprise that she was one of the talents chosen to bring the Symphogear series to life. Not only did she lend her stellar voice to the character of Tsubasa, but she also wrote and performed every opening for the series. Her presence behind the scenes is so impactful that it became a meme among the fandom to proclaim "Nana wills it!" whenever news got announced. Also, let's not forget that her artistic drawing talents gave birth to the Bushi Noise. So, without further ado, please enjoy this interview with her as the third installment of the 10th year anniversary translations!

Cast Interview with Yuka Iguchi

If Aoi Yuki is Captain of Team Symphogear, then there is no doubt that Yuka Iguchi is the head of the cheerleading squad. From her appearances at all the concerts, to her long tenure as host of the radio show, Yuka Iguchi has done a lot to support the staff and cast in a similar way to how Miku supports all the gear users in the show. Her character fills a unique role that's different, yet no less important, from the main six. So please enjoy this interview with her as the second installment of the 10th year anniversary translations!

Cast Interview with Aoi Yuki

Aoi Yuki is undoubtedly the "Captain" of Team Symphogear. As the voice of Hibiki, the show would never have been the hit it became without her infectious energy and passion. Of course, not everything was sunshine and roses for her over the course of the series. Her personal struggles with season 1 and stepping into the spotlight as the main character have been well documented over the years. She's also cried on stage numerous times out of overwhelming emotion for the warm reception that fans and fellow castmembers alike have given her. So, it seems fitting for the first installment of the 10th year anniversary translations to feature this interview with her from LisAni.

Celebrating 10+ Years

Greetings, fellow Symphofans! Surprise! I'm reviving this blog from the dead with some new content. I recently got my hands on the December 2022 issue of LisAni magazine, which is entirely dedicated to Symphogear in honor of its 10th anniversary. That's a whopping 165+ pages of content!
 

Of course, I won't be able to translate everything, but I will be including a few new interviews and other features here sporadically. There is no firm schedule, so don't expect updates too often, but please check back and comment on what you're most interested in.

 

 

 

 

Happy 10th Anniversary!

It's a little early in other parts of the world, but it's January 6th in Japan now. That means it's been 10 years since Symphogear first aired! Happy 10th anniversary to one of the best original anime series of all time!! 

Symphonia Bonuses

Hi again! I'm back for a final post on this.

Symphonia x Symphogear comes to an end

All right! I finished playing through the event - it was a ton of fun! There were a lot of great moments between the characters and although it was a short-lived adventure, you could really feel a bond that developed between everyone. Maybe someday they'll meet again? More Tales of Symphogear

Hi again! I've been making my way through the Symphonia event and translating as I go. If you're interested, here are translations for stage 4 and stage 5. I hope to update this post with stage 6 and maybe 7 later tonight. My goal is to have finished the whole thing within the next few days. Thanks for reading. :)

Edit: Stage 6 TL added! (Note: spelling of "Leciel" changed to "Luciel". Given what we find out about him, this seems more fitting).

Symphogear meets Symphonia!

It was enough to get me playing the game again, and also translate while I'm at it.

Sadly, I'm far too busy these days to update with much content, but I wanted to make everyone aware that Symphogear will be available for purchase on Blu-ray in the US starting on October 27th! Hit the jump for more deets.
