Celebrating 10+ Years

Greetings, fellow Symphofans! Surprise! I'm reviving this blog from the dead with some new content. I recently got my hands on the December 2022 issue of LisAni magazine, which is entirely dedicated to Symphogear in honor of its 10th anniversary. That's a whopping 165+ pages of content!
 

Of course, I won't be able to translate everything, but I will be including a few new interviews and other features here sporadically. There is no firm schedule, so don't expect updates too often, but please check back and comment on what you're most interested in.

 

 

 

 

 

It all began with one musician's dream: a passion project to create an anime where music was at the heart of everything. His ambitions struck a chord with the people around him and gave birth to a melody that others added their own unique riffs to—just like a cadenza—until all their respective tunes overlapped in perfect harmony. The end result was a symphony hailed as the future: the Symphogear series. 

Symphogear is the brainchild of Music Composer Noriyasu Agematsu and Game Creator Akifumi Kaneko. It successfully fused music, storytelling, and animation to a level never seen before, giving rise to many innovations in the world of both anime and anime music. 

The series was brought to a conclusive end with the 5th season, "Symphogear XV", which finished its broadcast in 2019. However, since then, the popularity of the series has ceased to fade and the 10th Anniversary of season 1 was celebrated in 2022. The editing staff of "LisAni" (Listen to Animated Music) magazine paid tribute to Symphogear with an issue completely dedicated to the series.
