Brief update

Oh I'm a terrible blogger, haha. I've been meaning to post updates for awhile but I always get distracted or get busy with work. Anyway, I figure I should put this out here quick since there are no other rips available yet. So it's kind of a treat for anyone still reading. Here's the full version of FIRST LOVE SONG:

In other news, there might be some interesting developments for Symphogear on the horizon!

Symphogear Manga Volume 1 - in English!

I promised, and now I'm going to deliver! I'm proud to say my Symphogear manga scanlation project is 100% complete. It took me a large number of hours to go from a fresh volume to scanning, editing and finally, translating the text. It's not perfect, but I'd like to think that the quality will show through anyway. Download after the jump.

First look at Figma Tsubasa

The first images of the complete Figma Tsubasa have been revealed courtesy of recent hobby magazines in Japan. She looks pretty amazing and comes with a wealth of accessories including the large sword she uses for "Blue Flash!"

Translation Corner #8

Wow, I haven't done one of these for awhile. I left this one half-translated for months and I figured I should finish it. Today's translation corner is about the Noise, more specifically it talks about the Noise outbreaks.

Scan progress + BD sales update

Manga progress is coming along slowly, but surely. I scanned about 4/5ths of the first volume and should finish the rest this weekend. Unfortunately that's only about half of the process - I still need to translate and do typesetting for the English version! So far I've started chapter 2 and I've finished chapter 1 (with a slightly updated translation from the original chapter 1 release). I don't have a time frame for completion quite yet, but within the next week or two I hope.

Updates will resume...eventually

I don't think anyone reads this anymore, but just in case they do I'd like to just mention that I am alive and I will be updating this again when more news/information comes out. I didn't pick up the BD vol 4 when it came out, instead it's going to ship with vol 5 at the end of this month. Soon the BD releases will be done and there will be plenty to cover.

Sales round 2

Now that the second BD volume has been out for about a week - how well did it sell? If you recall, in the first week volume 1 sold just over 4,000 and in the second week went on to break 5,000. It was a good sign that the series was a fairly strong seller as far as anime goes (we're not comparing it to Madoka or anything), it certainly wasn't a failure. Well I'm happy to report that the sales for volume 2 have remained consistent.
