立花響の
響-hibiki-
という名前に、
とてもこだわりを持ってます。
誰か、何か、がなければ
響くことはありえない。
自分が音楽を愛する根本です。
The "Hibiki" in "Tachibana Hibiki" from Symphogear (which means "to resound/echo" in Japanese) has a very particular significance attached to it. Without someone or something to create it, then there can't be an echo. That's the entire reason I love music.

立花響の曲も、
ファンの皆さんが、
コールをして響きあわないと
成立しないように作っています。

自分の音楽であり

すべて。
The character songs for Hibiki that were performed at the concert are an example of this. They were made in such a way that they cannot be fully complete without the call and response of all the fans. "Hibiki" is my style of music. All of my songs exist to create a resonance.
Human beings can't live completely alone. Or rather, humans by nature were not intended to live alone. We have songs because there are times when our words are not enough. "Hibiki" is the embodiment of that concept.人は一人じゃ生きられない— 上松範康ElementsGarden (@agematsu) March 15, 2016

First of all thank you for creating this blog and continuously updating it, I've been a Geah fan since its first season, and never knew that this place existed until two days ago. It makes me happy to see others out there giving Symphogear the love and attention it deserves (at least in the West)
ReplyDeleteAnd second boy that was deep. Makes me love her name even more! Hope he says the meanings behind the names of the other users, if he hasn't already?
"They were made in such a way that they cannot be fully complete without the call and response of all the fans".
ReplyDeleteWow, now that I think about it, you simply cannot listen to them without wanting to sing along the responses and it would feel weird without them.
Agematsu you magnificent bastard.

ReplyDeleteThere is no way I will ever forget to call out "Go! or Hibike!" while listening to "Rainbow Flower" and "G-Beat" while listening to "Genkai Toppa G-Beat" after reading that. Based Agematsu.
ReplyDeleteI also realized that "Hibiki" is a pun on "Hibike", which means sound.
Yes, of course, without echoes, you cannot have sound. Without sound, you cannot have "Uta" (songs).
Sasuga Agematsu, you brilliant bastard.
