English dialog translation for ep 13

I have no experience with making actual subs or timing them. Best I can do is translate the dialog and put it up on pastebin. Hopefully this relieves some of the stress for those of you waiting or unsure what was said in the raws.

Of course it has honorifics and official terminology so if you don't like those...well. *shrugs*

  1. Thanks for your hard work!
The software to use is Aegisub (for creating the sub file) and MKVToolnix (for packaging the subs with the audio/video). It's not too hard to learn the basics by just fiddling around with it a little (I suggest to open a previous episode of Symphogear and see what it looks like)
The really time-consuming part is timing each piece of dialogue to the right starting and ending frames (I go frame by frame listening for the right frames where the voice starts and stops - I don't know of a better way, being quite new at it too)
Luckily the folks in /a/ are going to work on the subs using the translations you've provided so we might see the episode subbed by tomorrow.

  4. Thank you for the translation. Here is a sub file:

Used the Zero-Raws release as the base. Just save the text as an .ass or .ssa and encode using MKVToolnix or some other video convertor. This is my first time ever doing this, so the timing may be a little off. After doing this it really make you appreciate the hard work fansub groups do.

    1. Forgot to mention, no lyrics in this. I just now found the translated lyrics (http://pastebin.com/fUNebNfz), and I don't feel like going back to put them in.

  5. Just want to say thank you again for doing this. Timing it sucked but it's nice to have subs.
